She was born in Mesa, Arizona, on April 6th, 1992. After an excellent career with the Santa Clara Broncos, Ertz turned professional with the Chicago Red Stars. Ertz earned 116 caps, scored 20 goals, and won two world cups for the red, white, and blue. Her mental toughness and hustle make her an excellent holding midfielder, and she earned her US Soccer Female Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018.
